The summer school will start with a basic introductory theme, and will then be focused around three scientific core themes: Statistics, Machine Learning, and Visual Data Science. Each theme will feature a keynote, as well as theoretical, and practical/hands-on sessions. Please note that some of the sessions will be in parallel. You will be able to indicate during the registration in which of the parallel session you are most interested in.
In addition, you will be invited to join social and networking activities that will be organized at the end of each day. You can indicate your interest for taking part in a hackathon, a hike in the beautiful vicinities of Bergen, or board games during registration. On Thu., Aug. 10, we also plan for a nice, joint dinner (paid by the summer school). Please note that while the social activities are optional, the dinner registration is binding.
